It has been a pleasant trip with my fellow colleagues to Langkawi Island recently.
Oriental Village Langkawi was the first spot that we visited in this island.
Then we took the cable car up the hill. It was quite amazing to be 710 meters above sea level.
The idea of embracing the cool breeze and the picturesque scenery of the island from the top view was the reason why we were up here.
We have also visited Seven Wells Waterfall on the 1st day of our trip.
Excuse us for we did not know what we were doing. Just pretend that we were in a waterfalls beauty pageant.
But I must say, that it was really frosty cold for us to get into the waters. I was literally freezing and shivering while taking these pictures.
Did you all ever know that Langkawi is a duty free island? I am sure you already knew about it. Liquor/alcohol is priced so low compared to the prices in the mainland. Seriously, it was dirt cheap to purchase a Johnnie Walker Green Label for only MYR90.
Cheers! Margarita was priced at MYR15 at the local bar here. Not bad, right?
We went island hopping on the very next day. Dayang Bunting (Pregnant Maiden) Lake was our first stop.
Last year, my family and I didn’t jump into the lake when we visited because the lake looked really dirty and I thought it was polluted.
To my surprise, it was so much cleaner this year. And yes, with all my guts and courage, I jumped into the lake with my friends.
Splash! Oops, I truly apologize to the guy who got splashed by us. Sorry!
But we did it again and again, and again!
Here is a video of us doing a back-jump into the lake. I know, we were mad and crazy!
Then, we went on to the next destination which is another beautiful waterfalls.
We had traveled 45 minutes from the hotel to Temurun Waterfalls.
The sound of clear spring water making its way from the top of the hills only serve to tempt us into having a splashing good time there.
On top of that, the water was colder than the Seven Wells waterfalls. And that’s why we didn’t take off our tops. It’s too cold.
All in all, we had a good trip to Langkawi Island, and I wouldn’t mind coming back again.
