This is another food-entry, please BEAR with me!
Malacca was one of our stops of the road trip which I went with Gerald and Kevin during the end of 2007. You see, we do crazy things such as driving all the way down to Malacca on a Friday evening (kidnapping Isaac along), which had took us about 1 hour 45 minutes to reach Malacca from KL.
The only reason, was to eat the ever famous Malacca Sate Celup there. Yup, after the dinner, we drove all the way back to KL. You see how crazy we could be at times, when it comes to food!!!
This is situated quite near Jonker street. I am not really sure about the roads and street names in Malacca.
All I know is, from Ayer Keroh toll, I just need to drive straight and pass 11 traffic lights before I turn left into this street where Restoran Capitol Satay is situated.
By the time I reached this restaurant, it was already 830pm. Looking at the massive crowd turnout in Capitol Satay, we just had to be patient in waiting for an empty table.
Guess how long did we wait?
A madness of 30 minutes, standing to wait for the customers to finish their Sate Celup before we could enjoy our dinner.
Fishballs, ‘Tau Fu Pok‘ and balls and balls for you to dip in.
The variety of “celups” available at that time!!
The bread to be dipped with the sate sauce.
The sate sauce.
Gerald and Kevin went havoc while waiting for the sate sauce to be boiling hot!!!
Honestly I think that the sate celup here is not as good as before. I preferred the sate celup during my previous visit 2 years ago.
Gerald scrutinizing his ‘celup‘ before putting into the sauce. He must be thinking whether there’s any food poisoning after eating Sate Celup!
Kevin and Loong are dehydrated!!!!
But it seems that these two guys are too thirsty till they ordered two glasses each!!!
What did Sate Celup do to them?
