WARNING: This post contains MORE pictures than words.
Hongkong Disneyland is the fifth Disneyland park in the world. The park is located on reclaimed land in Penny’s Bay, Lantau Island.
People queued up for a lengthy 30 minutes just to snap a shot with Mickey and Minnie Mouse
The capacity of the park is 34,000 visitors per day, and it is the smallest Disneyland park. From what I heard from a friend, Los Angeles and Tokyo Disneyland is 6 times bigger than Hongkong’s Disneyland.
Can someone confirm this for me?
Mickey and Minnie Mouse miniatures
As I walked along the Main Street, USA in Hongkong Disneyland, I could not resist not entering the souvenir shops along the street.
And for the first time, I felt I that I wanted to buy everything in these shop.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse
Mickey & Minnie Mouse are classic decorative items!
I just felt like sapu-ing all of them there and then.
More of Disney characters
These crystal figurines of Disney Characters costs more than a bomb, ranging from HK$245 – HK$395 (RM120 – RM195). WOW!
A good friend @ ex-colleague, Kiong and I at the Main Street, USA
My ex colleague and I quickly ran out from the souvenir shop. We couldn’t take our eyes off the Disney souvenirs.
Golden Mickey Show Performance
Then, we hit off for a Golden Mickey Show which was superb. Immediately, my mind was flashing back memories of me watching tons and tons of Disney movies such as Mulan, Cinderella, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, etc.
Because of the Golden Mickey Show, I missed all the classics of Disney production. I really missed them a lot.
Performance of High School Musical
Never understood what was so mesmerizing about High School Musical.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse
Remember what this castle is? It’s Sleeping Beauty’s Castle located in the center of Disneyland HK.
Disneyland is indeed full of fairy tales and sometimes I do dream that there would be a fairy godmother by my side, helping me to achieve my dreams to come true.
Cheung Ka Fai???
Yes, you are right. It is Nicky Cheung Ka Fai with his daugther and wife (in a pink top and dark blue pants).
Darn! I regretted for not running up to him for a close up shot. I should have told him “Hi, I am from Malaysia and I’m your biggest fan. May I have a pic with you?”
But I would be disturbing his family outing, right? *Sobs*
Stopped by at Disneyland Resort for buffet lunch that cost me HK$ 158. Even cookies are not spared from the Mickey syndrome.
Will I be infected with the Mickey syndrome after eating them?
At the Dining hall of Disneyland Resort
There were many caricatures of Disney characters, cooking. I’ve never seen an episode where they did cook!
Mickey Lift Button??!!
Even the lift button was not spared at the resort!!
I really don’t know what to say. Kerusi Mickey pun wujud?
Disney on Parade
After lunch, we headed back to Main Street, USA for Disney on Parade.
Disney on Parade is a day-time parade which features 9 floats with famous Disney characters including Mickey and Friends, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Disney Princesses, Alice, Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie.
Dancers of Disney on Parade
The dancers looked so old. I am not used to Disney dancers being Asians. I have always been told Disney comes from USA, and thus I expected caucasian dancers instead of these. Hmmm…
Look at the guy third from left. Reminds you of BAJA HITAM, no?
The gigantic Mickey Mouse float
One of the more retarded Mickeys I’ve seen.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse
Retarded Mickey doing Bluek =p.
Chip/Dale ate too much acorns, have serious weight problems. They looked pretty fat here!
Mini skirt fashion gone totally wrong. What the kokoi are these?? Films?? Wheels??
Alice in Wonderland characters
The Queen from Alice in Wonderland looks like Thai-transvestite. And the bunny has weight issues as well.
From the Little Mermaid
I dont remember Ariel with Seahorses. Where is Ursula?
Toy Story and the Soldiers
TOY STORY!!! I havent seen this movie. Damn!
Donald and Daisy Duck!!
MY FAVORITE DONALD DUCK! Can anyone help me find Donald Disney Classics?
Pluto is so cute!
Hello Gerald (This statement is from Kev).
Wait, does Pluto walk on two feet in the cartoons? No right?
Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Cinderella (in blue), Sleeping Beauty (in pink) and Snow White (on the left)
Ummm, why does everyone in Disney HK has weight problems? Look at pinkie Sleeping Beauty.
The classic Disney attraction, “it’s a small world“, was opened on 28 April 2008. One of the latest additions to Hongkong’s Disneyland. Alright, let’s start singing:
It’s a small world after all (x3)
It’s a small small world!
My 1st picture with a Disney character! Felt like jumping into the air with him!
Goofy oh Goofy
Goofy is so tall! Can’t even touch his hat!
I love the way he coughs and the way he screams when he falls of the cliff! Wooohoooooohoooo!!!!
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and friends
I didn’t know Winnie the Pooh was from Disney!
Piglet and PiggyGrace
That’s me! THAT’S ME!!
A nightview of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle
After dinner, we were gathered in front of the castle to watch the fireworks.
This fireworks based on a similar format used in the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks at other Disney theme parks, fireworks and pyrotechnics are co-ordinated to orchestrated classic Disney music such as “A Whole New World”.
I have actually recorded the whole fireworks with my camera. I wanted to show you the fireworks badly. Sadly, i couldn’t upload them into youtube (which I have been trying since friday morning).
The fireworks were simply amazing and magical. I would try to load them up again and again.
Near the Entrance
The fairy tale started in the morning at 10am and it lasted 12 hours. Yeap, I left at 10pm.
Bidding farewell to Disneyland
Sure, my legs were aching, hurting, sore, tired. I was so exhausted that I wished they had those Thai massage parlours lurking around the corner some where to ease the numbness that was creeping slowly creeping up my legs.
Not to mention that the journey from HK Disneyland to Mongkok (where I stayed) was 55 minutes by MRT.
But I assure you that I will be back for more the next time round.
