709 – 9th of July will be a date that is unforgettable for Malaysians.
Bersih 2.0 rally was not only held in the streets of the capital city of Malaysia. On the very same day, Malaysians abroad lodged in their support for electoral reforms and gathered together in one voice in various cities around the globe such as Melbourne, New York, London, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Paris, and the list goes on.
As Malaysian heroes faced a chaotic event in Kuala Lumpur, I was busy preparing for the Bersih 2.0 walk at Washington DC.
To cut the long story short, I just want to show my support for my home country.
I was in Washington DC with other Malaysians, sharing the same voice, sharing the same chorus – Hope for A Better Malaysia.
Whether you’re born a Malay, Chinese, Indian or mixed, as long as your nationality is Malaysian, we are together in this.

The people has marched. The awareness is raised.
The rallies are over.
Will the government listen?
Will the people be heard?
Did we achieve anything?
Yes, we did.
Malaysians in Malaysia and all over the world achieved a real sense of 1Malaysia whereby we gathered together in regardless of race, creed and religion for a humble cause – the principle of justice.
Let us hope we do not need another Bersih 3.0 to get this message across.
