It’s usually easier to get presents for friends and family because I somehow understand their taste or needs in life. However, when it comes to my hubby’s birthday, I totally lost my mind. Last year, I surprised him with a trip to Hong Kong as a birthday present (click here to read about the trip) and I have to say, it was something off the top of my head.
This year, I cracked my brain for many days and nights just to think of what I should get for his birthday present. In the end I finally found the Razer Mouse that he always wanted, since his mouse is kind of broken (by me).
The Razer Orochi brings mobile gaming mouse standards to new heights with its small form factor and bleeding-edge technology. Oh yes, this will definitely turn him on. But this mouse seems to be too small for a birthday present.
I was completely clueless for weeks before his big day until I remembered Kim’s series of surprises for her husband’s birthday and Valentine’s Day. I have to simply agree with her on how tough it is to buy anything for the husband when he has everything he needed. So, I decided to do a series of presents for my hubby.
On his actual birthday, I kissed him goodbye in the morning before he left for work and got myself busy with this project. I surprised him well when he came home from work that late afternoon.
He was astounded by the fact of different dated envelopes stuck on the wall.
There were terms and conditions to the redeemable vouchers and they had to be my terms, of course! A total of 11 vouchers were prepared for his happiness and extreme pleasure.
The first surprise was a birthday dinner by the James River @ The Boathouse Restaurant, Rockett Landings.
This was to satisfy his appetite and reassure him that the series of surprises will not stop until the final voucher is redeemed. How fortunate my husband is! 🙂
