This is absolutely crazy. Time flies, doesn’t it? I can’t believe I will be ending my WEEK 21 soon.
Week 21 has seen a steady number on the
enemy weighing scale. PHEW! I have been drinking tons of water to keep flushing unwanted toxins out of my body.
Unfortunately for the past few weeks, as I have mentioned in Week 20’s update, that I have been constantly battling against dry and flaky skin all over my body. It’s not just attacking my baby bump, but my arms, calves, thighs, and backside too!
As you know I started applying Mama Bee’s Vitamin E nourishing oil generously on my baby bump since I got back from Philly. My baby bump is seeing a tremendous change and I can see my stretch marks are less noticeable. Can you see any stretch marks from the pic above? I love Mama Bee’s oil. It is helping me a lot.
But it is unquestionably undesirable to look at my arms now. Argh! I have been applying lotion liberally on the arms but it’s just not working out. Ahh, the pregnancy is causing my hormones to be enraged. Thus, my skin has lost its hydration and elasticity. Gosh, it’s extremely scaly and I felt like a snake shedding its skin!
Having said that, maybe, the usual moisturizing lotions do not work for pregnant mamas like me. Thus, I googled and they told me to go gentle on my sensitive skin.
This instantly triggered me to do a research and VOILA, I decided to splurge a little with Burt’s Bees since I love the Mama Bee’s Vitamin E oil to bits.
I read the ingredients and reviews of every product they have, and made up my mind that I needed something 100% natural. The less chemical ingredients, the better it will be for me. The keyword is NATURAL and the product must be gentle to my sensitive skin.
So, my package of Burt’s Bee’s collection has just arrived on my doorstep this morning. (Buying them online is so much fun!) I am going to try out the Mama Bee Foot Creme, Conditioning Body Bar, and the Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub.
I hope I will see less flaky scales on my body a week from now.
Wish me luck!
