My trip to Philly was both exhausting and challenging but it was worth the week of assisting my two good friends (Timothy and his wife, Jia) to settle down in their new home.
As you know, moving from one house to another is tough. Moreover, my friends were moving across countries (from Malaysia to America).
We had fun driving them around, showing them the Philly Metro area and bringing them to shop for their necessities at Bed Bath & Beyond, Ikea, Target, and Walmart.
Obviously, setting up a new place into a home is a tiring but fulfilling process. From the things you buy from the store, and you turn them into a place of your love nest (if you’re a married couple).
We also brought them to the famous steak restaurant in PA, Texas Road House to devour the one of the best American delicacies in town.
(Aaron, if you are reading this, you are so going to drool all over by staring at the pictures of food above!)
I always feel at home when I am with my Malaysian buddies. Well, no one can blame me for feeling lonely at times when my friends and family are halfway across the world.
Although Tim and Jia are 5 hours drive away, at least, I have someone to share my sentiments as a foreigner in America.
I am definitely looking forward for more time spent together, be it in Philly or Richmond.
