Oh my, oh my…
I utterly cannot believe how time flies. It was just like yesterday when I found out I was pregnant. In a blink of an eye, I am in the midst of week 24. This also means I have another 15 weeks of maternity journey before AnnaKate comes into this joyful world.
So, what’s new with me? Nothing much except for my rapidly expanding uterus and I finally painted my finger nails in Rainforest Green out of boredom.
You must be wondering why I chose this colour. Well, it’s kinda plain jane to paint lighter or nude colours and I am not into spilling blood red paint on my finger nails. On a plus note, I always enjoyed the refreshing colours of any green tone.
Well the question is, do you like dark green finger nails? Do I look pretty with it? Keep the negative criticisms to yourself, if you can. *Dictatorship rules here*
Oh, I can’t do much about being trendy with the love handles and flabbiness of fats dangling around my
pretty body at this very moment. Fat cells are piling up one by one. Don’t ask me why, just ask my cravings and my appetite. Sometimes, it is just simply impossible to say NO to certain foods. I have no one else to blame but myself.
Hence, I am not going to doll up myself with any pretty maternity clothes. After all, I don’t want to burn cash on clothes that I could only wear when I am pregnant. Call me a sour grape if you want. Perhaps, I would think differently if I inherited slim genes where nothing expands except for the baby bump. I wish!
Weight tracker tells me I am almost crossing the average line for putting on 18.4 pounds in total. That would be 8.4Kg for those who only knows metric system.
An ex-colleague used to tell me that if a pregnant woman does not increase more than 13Kg in her pregnancy, she will have no problems in losing her postpartum weight. I have 15 more weeks, and each coming week will pile at least 1 to 1.2 pounds on me. Crap! 15 pounds (6.81kg) and I will be off that comfortable range that she was talking about. ARGH!!!
Pardon me for I am always grumpy when I am feeling frumpy. Have a nice week ahead! 🙂
