I am extremely thrilled to finally announce and launch the new blog name and design!
Blogging has come a long way for me when I was first introduced to the world wide web of documenting life. It has been much of an online diary for me–a way to express my thoughts and emotions, and share my memories.
I have used different types of platforms and blogging sites throughout the years. I had sporadically blogged with Multiply (2003), Xanga (2004), Blogspot (2006), WordPress (2007), and finally got hold of my previous domain GraceOng.com in November 2007. Each time I migrated to a new site, it was due to a desire for better features and better layouts.
Nevertheless, GraceOng.com (hosted by WordPress) has served me well for the past 8 years. I think many of my friends know I blog simply because I love the act of documenting. I enjoy the process of creating a record of life and I do it out of passion. I earn nothing from doing this.
But today, the main factor that has driven me to re-brand and redesign my personal blog is that I have evolved. I have changed. I no longer chase unicorns in my dreams.
I am carrying my husband’s family name. I am a wife, a mother, and most importantly a child of God. For the past 3 years, my blog entries have been solely focused on family outings, joy of parenthood, simple photography, kitchen adventures, travel journals, and occasionally a few posts on my unshakable faith.
Hence, the new blog name ‘Life Grace Love‘ was born. I want my posts to reflect the strive to live life filled with grace and love. To me, love is the answer to many difficult situations. Grace of God enables us to overcome our real life struggles. I want to encourage each of us to live every day in His grace, with His grace, and by His grace.
I am still tweaking a few things here and there, so please excuse any potholes as you navigate. Oh, did I mention that the simple, yet elegant, blog header was designed by a good friend?
I have a few posts coming up next – I am excited to share an update of our little home’s 1st anniversary, pictures we took on July 4th, and how Mike tackled the deck repairs.
