Hey there. I am Grace, and I live in central Virginia. I am a wife and a mother. I am a dreamer, most of the time. My imagination runs wild when I am idle. I wish Hogwarts existed in my lifetime during school-days. I would definitely be placed in the house of Gryffindor as how I was sorted at Pottermore.
I married Mike, an American boy whom I think used Amortentia on me. You can read our brief love story here. Unlike the husband’s mudblood parentage, I am a pure Malaysian-Chinese descendant who grew up in Ipoh (ˈiːpoʊ), a small town which is located a two-hour drive away from the Malaysia’s capital city, Kuala Lumpur.
My world revolves around the duty of being a faith-filled homemaker and I strive for perfection as one. I celebrate each day of motherhood with a four year old daughter (who never fails to amaze me at every stage) and an agile one year-old boy who loves exploring and keeps me on my toes. I probably need some advice from a veteran mom such as my maternal grandmother who has 10 children. I have no idea how she managed that.
Ever since I decided to be a stay-at-home mom, I gave up the corporate ladder, zealous ambitions, career-based pride, and the feeling that money buys happiness. I have been humbled by being a homemaker and learned to appreciate what I have, being grateful for how the Lord has provided for us.
Nevertheless, the Lord has been faithful and now, I am proud to say that I am a mompreneur. I run a mini photography business as my side job. You can click here to check out my portfolio. Other than that, my day is dominated by “Mommy, mommy, mommy!”
With the Backstreet Boys’ music blasting in the background, I will rock and roll with my spatula and the vacuum cleaner. With my husband being my greatest cheerleader and God as my pillar of strength, all things are possible.
This online sanctuary is where I discuss the joys and pains of motherhood, photography, travel, kitchen adventures, unshakable faith, being creative, the daily mundane, and all the random stuff in between. I am an Instagram addict who enjoys documenting daily activities. History is important to me because these chronicles facilitate my strive to learn from mistakes, seize the present, and shape the future.
I do not wish to wake up one day and find I have lost my precious memory; this blog henceforth will remind me how strong I can be to fight on. May this blog serve a purpose for me and my family, and inspire those who wish to be inspired. May life be filled with faith, grace, and love abundantly!
Blessings to y’all.
